Region IV ODP Championships  Phoenix, Arizona January 17 - 20  2009 







I wanted to take the opportunity to say thank  you to all our ODP players, Coaches , Team Administrators , countless volunteers , local referees and the Reach 11 staff  that once again made the Region 4 ODP Championships one of the best  competitive soccer events  hosted annually in Arizona.

Hopefully the event continues to be a permanent fixture on the USYSA Region  4 calendar and hosted by Arizona  Youth soccer Association at  the Reach 11 Soccer Complex.

Overall our teams performed very well with every age group team reaching the semi final stages of the competition. The 95s played in a league format with a final only.

Both the 96 Boys and  96 Girls did reach the final games with the Boys winning the championship game against Nevada 3-0 and the Girls finishing runners up to Hawaii.

During the Championships the players from Arizona along with all the other players from the other competing states were scouted and evaluated by the Regional and National coaching staff as potential Regional or National team pool players.

In addition our Coaching staff were also evaluated as potential Region  4 ODP staff coaches.
