Chris Webb Appointed As U.S. Youth Soccer's West Operations Coordinator.

Friday, February 2nd, 2018 -- The Arizona Soccer Association (ASA) announces that Chris Webb, Director of Operations, will step down from her current position to take on a new position with U.S. Youth Soccer as the West Operations Coordinator.
 
At the ASA, Chris was instrumental in:
 
-Arizona Premier League, which created an elite level for youth soccer teams in Arizona through a competitive and selective platform
-Format and scheduling of the Arizona State Cup and President's Cup
-First ever Charity Golf Tournament and Adult State Cup 
 
Additionally, Webb has served as the Assistant Director and now currently the League Commissioner for Region IV's Desert Premier League.  
 
"Chris Webb has made a huge impact during her time at Arizona Soccer Association, improving our league structure and our State run tournaments, Presidents Cup and State Cup," said ASA Executive Director Leslie Johnson. "While we will miss her in Arizona, we are excited for the opportunity in front of her and are confident she will make a fantastic addition to the staff of US Youth Soccer and the West Region.
 
Webb joined the ASA in 2015, having previously been employed at Sereno Soccer Club in a variety of roles. Prior to her move to Arizona, Webb spent five years as the assistant coach at East Carolina University from 2000-05 and she served as the head coach at Elon University for three seasons from 2005-07. Additionally she also coached at Campbell University and North Carolina Wesleyan. She was also inducted into the North Carolina Wesleyan Hall of Fame in 2009 for soccer (all-time leading scorer) and basketball (all time assists leader).
