Sign up today! The curriculum of the youth modules is age specific for the age groups U-6 through U11. These modules focus on preparing the parent coach who has little or no experience in the game of soccer. Youth Module:
Y1 – U6/U8 Course curriculums are devoted to the physical, psychological and social characteristics displayed by children U6 through U11. Modules cover classroom information and pertinent age appropriate activities. Activities are designed to teach players at their own pace and level while encouraging participation from everyone. * USSF Manual provided * 4-5 hours in duration Prerequisites: Previous module earned except for Y1 "E" Certificate Course
Technical sessions used coaching progression methodology and the manipulation of pressure to facilitate player development. Technical topics covered are: dribbling, passing, receiving, heading, finishing, and goal keeping. Tactical topics introduce offensive and defensive principles. Understanding the roles of the first, second, and third attackers and defenders are explained in a classroom setting as well as in field sessions. Practical coaching sessions are developed in groups while a chosen candidate takes the role of the coach. The coaching session is evaluated and constructive points presented in a group setting. This facilitates the learning for all coaches. Course is 18 hour long typically done on a weekend. Those attending this course are advised to be physically fit and prepared as the course is mentally and physically challenging. Interested candidates are required to bring soccer shoes, tennis shoes, balls, water, pencil/pen, paper, sun screen, shorts, shirts, and strong desire to learn. Participation is expected from all candidates in the field sessions. Prerequisites:
None "D" License Course The "D" License course prepares coaches to further develop their player’s technical abilities and their application within the game, increases their understanding of the Principles of Play and how they are applied in the game, and expands the coaches understanding of 11 a-side soccer and the importance of developing a team system that is based on the player’s abilities. Understanding Principles of Play and relating to systems are discussed in a classroom setting as well as in field sessions. Practice

individually. An assessment of the session is provided to each candidate
individually by the instructor. Final practice coaching sessions are
assigned to each candidate. These are assessed by the instructor to
determine if coaching methodologies have been displayed satisfactorily
by each candidate. Course is
36 hour long typically done over two (2) weekends. Interested
candidates are required to bring soccer shoes, tennis shoes, balls,
water, pencil/pen, paper, sun screen, shorts, shirts, and strong desire
to learn. Participation is mandatory from all candidates in the field
sessions. AYSA TECHNICAL CERTIFICATIONS Especially designed for new coaches working with U12 to U19 teams. The technical certification courses introduces the methodology of coaching on one of the components of soccer; technical. Basically it slices the technical portion of the E coaching certification course. This approach allows coaches with limited time to get excellent information on coaching technical skills. Two (2) levels of certification are available; Tech 1 and Tech 2. Tech 1 covers three (3) technical skills. These are: Dribbling, Passing, and Receiving Tech 2 covers three (3) technical skills. These are: Heading, Finishing, and Goal Keeping Each technical certification duration is about 4-5 hours.
